SNEAK A PEAK AT THE FUTURE THREE-ROW SUV: THE 2019 BMW X7

Every now and then, BMW lets details slip about upcoming models, and BMW of Silver Spring loves to share the gossip. Word on the street is a new flagship SUV is about to hit the road, and what we know so far is pretty exciting.

The X7 (concept drawing pictured above) will be the first three-row SUV from BMW, and it will be noticeably larger than the current X5. The outside of the X7 will emphasize this larger body with aggressive styling in the bumpers and air inlets, as well as an imposing upright stance sitting atop large 22-inch wheels.

Inside, the X7 will feature the peerless luxury only BMW can offer. A cavernous cabin will provide near-endless legroom with the option to make the second row a bench seat or two captain’s chairs. Two massive 12-inch LCD screens will provide plenty of entertainment for everyone, and a uniquely designed center console will incorporate the elegance of Swarovski crystal elements. All three rows will enjoy panoramic sunroofs, and drivers will enjoy advanced gesture control functions.

BMW will offer the X7 with three different beefy powertrain options: both a diesel and gasoline version of the 3.0-liter twin-turbo v6 and an unstoppable 4.4-liter twin-turbo gas-powered V8. BMW has hinted that later versions of the X7 will be available with V12 and hybrid powertrains, too.

These are the only details we have so far, but the X7 is already shaping up to be a fierce competitor in the three-row luxury SUV market when it hits stores in early 2019.
