2021 BMW 2 Series
Overview
For the 2021 model year, the BMW 2 Series comes in full force. The 2021 2 Series is available as a coupe, gran coupe, or competition coupe. The coupe and the gran coupe are similar in terms of what's under the hood, but the competition coupe differs with a more powerful engine. The coupe is available in 230i and M240i trims and can be equipped with xDrive. For the Gran Coupe, drivers can choose between the 228i and M235i trims. The 228i can be had with either front or all-wheel drive while the M235i is only available with all-wheel drive.

Driving & Handling
The 2 Series Coupe 230i is equipped with a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that pumps out 248 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The standard 230i is rear-wheel drive but an upgrade to the 230i xDrive provides all-wheel drive. The coupe and convertible are controlled by an 8-speed automatic transmission complete with Sport and Manual modes.
The 2 Series Coupe M240i packs a bigger punch with a 3.0-liter M Performance TwinTurbo inline 6-cylinder engine that produces up to 335 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Like the 230i, the M240i is standard with rear-wheel drive but can be equipped with xDrive for superior traction performance.
For the Gran Coupe, the 228i and 228i xDrive are powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo inline 4-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. For the powerful M235i xDrive, a 3.0-liter M Performance TwinTurbo inline 4-cylinder engine is paired with all-wheel drive to deliver blinding performance.
In a class of its own, the 2 Series competition coupe offers a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine that ferociously produces up to 405 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque.
Key Features
The 2 Series models come equipped with iDrive, which allows drivers and passengers to control the technology of the car, from navigation to music. The coupe and convertible boast a 6.5" iDrive screen while the competition coupe screen measures up at 8.8," to make sure you never make a wrong turn again.
